German Beekeeping Day: Chemnitz Beekeepers' Association 1874 in the Botanical Garden
How does a bee colony live and what roles do the animals play? How is honey made? Do bees actually only produce honey? These and other questions will be answered for all visitors this Sunday, 28 June, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chemnitz Botanical Garden, Leipziger Straße 147.
On German Beekeeping Day, the Chemnitz Beekeepers' Association 1974 will be presenting itself and its members will be on hand to answer questions. Honey sales and explanations at the bee show hive are of course included.
At the same time, some of the associations active in the Chemnitz Botanical Garden will be presenting themselves on this day. The botanically interested groups offer surplus plants from their members' collections. A rarities exchange with cacti, other succulents, tillandsias, shrubs and perennials awaits visitors. A small selection of snacks will be available.
Admission to the Botanical Garden: 1 euro or 0.50 euro for concessions.
