Garden flatshares - community gardens in Chemnitz

On Thursday, 28 January, from 7 to 8.30 pm, the adult education centre is hosting an online lecture on community gardens in Chemnitz. The focus will be on the colourful landscape of urban gardens in the city. Participation is free of charge. Anyone interested can register by 4 pm on 28 January at www.vhs-chemnitz.dehttp://www.vhs-chemnitz.deor 0371 488 4343 and will then receive an access link by email.
Some gardeners in Chemnitz also share a green space or a garden bed. Well-known community gardens in the city include the Gartenutopie project, the Saatgutgarten, the Zietenaugust and the Knappteichgarten. The lecture provides an overview with the help of numerous pictures: about each individual project, its organisers and their ideas as well as the history of the garden. Valuable tips for your own green space are also provided.
Those who want to start a new community garden in their neighbourhood and are looking for fellow campaigners can also find out more. There will be plenty of time for questions and a chat about gardening in Chemnitz.
