Further training workshop for nursery teachers
Invitation to the photo session: 12 April, 5 p.m., "Sausewind" daycare centre
On Thursday, 12 April, from 5 to 8 p.m., the team at the "Sausewind" children's facility at Bernsdorfer Straße 147 will be taking part in a workshop on the topic of "Experimenting with light and shadow" in order to build on the latest findings in early education, developmental psychology, learning research and specialist didactics.
The childminder from the neighbourhood and a representative from the City of Chemnitz's Office for Youth and Family are also invited.
Together, all participants in the workshop experience and discover possible applications of different materials and the connection to scientific phenomena with children's eyes. Light and shadow fascinate the children in this daycare centre. The crèche children brought torches from home and tried to catch their own shadows. This gave them their first experience of physics in a very playful way.
Early education has become very important in society in recent years. Children are amazed by scientific laws, find their own explanations and also have lots of questions for their teachers. Among other things, they want to know how light and shadow are created and are creative when it comes to experimenting with a light panel. With their thirst for research, thirst for knowledge and desire to constantly learn new things, the children are dependent on the teachers to take their questions seriously, take their time and support the children in their joy of discovery.
