Further information on hepatitis A at GS Schloßschule

In joint consultation with the State Office for Schools and Education, the Youth Welfare Office and the Education Authority, the decision was made to reopen the school building from Thursday 21 November. However, regular lessons will not yet take place.

Disinfection: The school building was extensively disinfected until today, Tuesday. In addition to the sanitary facilities, this also affected all classrooms and after-school care rooms, the dining hall, the stairwells and administration rooms in the school building as well as the sanitary areas of the gymnasium and the branch office on Wittgensdorfer Straße. The school will be cleaned regularly again from Thursday.

Health Department: From Monday, 18 November, the Chemnitz Health Department has started to vaccinate pupils, teachers, after-school care staff and other school employees who have not yet been immunised on a voluntary basis. Children whose parents can prove to the health authorities that they have been vaccinated will also be able to return to school from 2 December.

After-school care: On 21 and 22 November, after-school care at the Schloßgrundschule can be guaranteed for a maximum of 80 children thanks to the support of other municipal day-care centres. The after-school care centre will be open from 12 noon to 4 pm. After-school care is expected to be available again for all children attending the school from Monday 25 November.

Lunch: Lunch will be provided from Thursday 21 November. Parents please note the ordering regulations.
