Further easing from Monday

According to the RKI, the seven-day incidence in Chemnitz today is 72.7, which is below 100 for five consecutive working days. Accordingly, the following regulations will come into force from the day after next, i.e. Monday 24 May:

Private gatherings in public and private spaces:

Two households, in enclosed spaces a maximum of five people, otherwise a maximum of ten people may gather. Children under the age of 15, convalescents and fully vaccinated persons are not allowed.

Curfew

The curfew between 10 pm and 5 am has been lifted.

Shops and businesses

DIY stores and vehicle and bicycle spare parts outlets may reopen.

Physical services

The provision and utilisation of services close to the body is possible with contact tracing and a daily negative rapid test. (This is not required for body-related services that are medically necessary).

Outdoor catering

Outdoor catering can open for visitors with prior appointment and documentation for contact tracing.

If people from several households sit at the same table in an outdoor catering establishment, they must present a daily test.

Accommodation

Holiday flats, holiday homes and campsites can be rented out again. On arrival, a daily test must be presented and contact tracing or recording must be carried out.

Meetings

Open-air assemblies within the meaning of the Saxon Assembly Act are only permitted in a fixed location and with a maximum of 1,000 participants. Assembly participants, assembly leaders and stewards must wear medical face masks and maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 metres.

Cultural venues

Museums, libraries, galleries, exhibitions, memorials, cinemas, theatres, stages, opera houses, concert halls, concert venues, music theatres and similar facilities for the public as well as outdoor cultural events are not permitted.cultural events in outdoor areas may open on condition that they provide an appointment booking with documentation for contact tracing and the submission of a daily test.

Sport

Permitted:

• Sports for groups of up to 20 minors in outdoor areas, including outdoor sports facilities,
• Non-contact sports on outdoor sports facilities,
• non-contact sports on indoor sports facilities including gyms and similar facilities as well as contact sports on outdoor sports facilities for participants with a daily test and contact registration.

Guided tours for guests

Guided city, guest and nature tours in outdoor areas are permitted with a daily test and contact tracing. A maximum of ten participants may take part.

Art, music and dance schools

Music, dance and art schools may open with contact tracing. Students must present a daily test. Music lessons by freelance music teachers are also permitted under the aforementioned conditions.

Changes to the previously mandatory wearing of an FFP2 mask in certain areas:

• With regard to the obligation to wear FFP2 masks (or comparable), children between the ages of 6 and 14 are only required to wear medical mouth-nose protection.
• When using public transport for passenger transport, including taxis, coaches and regular transport services for the purpose of school transport, a medical face mask is sufficient.
• Medical face masks are sufficient for customers and service providers when providing services close to the body.

Test station at the Tierpark:

In order to offer all visitors the opportunity to visit the facilities at Whitsun, there will be a test tent in front of the zoo entrance on Whit Sunday and Whit Monday, where visitors can undergo a rapid test from 9 am. (Vaccinated and recovered people do not need a rapid test).

Please note that testing takes some time and there may be waiting times. This should also be taken into account when planning the entry window and travelling.
