Funding report for 2014 published
This is the third time in a row that the Chemnitz City Council has published its funding report. In it, all city grants to associations, clubs and third parties for 2014 are presented retrospectively by topic and grant recipient. The grants are funds from the city budget that are approved for purposes that are in the public interest.
The report covers a total of 14.5 million euros with around 750 individual measures. The main focus is on funding from the Office for Youth and Family Affairs with 7.4 million euros, sports funding with 2.2 million euros, cultural funding with 1.9 million euros and specialised funding from the Social Welfare Office for Youth, Social Affairs and Health with 1.8 million euros.
This means that measures such as the Schlingel festival, student and youth exchange events with partner cities, the operation of museums and the Siegmar club cinema, the Begehungen cultural festival, various meeting places and facilities for children and young people can be funded.and facilities for children and young people as well as projects of the Local Action Plan for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz.
