Funding report 2023 published
The 2023 Grants Report of Chemnitz City Council has now been published. In it, all city grants to associations, clubs and third parties are presented retrospectively by topic and grant recipient. The grants are funds from the city budget that are approved for purposes that are in the public interest.
For example, grants were provided for the operation of the Neue Sächsische Galerie and the socio-cultural centre "Kraftwerk", for the Schlingel festival, for the Kindervereinigung's play mobile and for the renovation of day-care centres run by independent organisations. A wide range of support was also provided for Chemnitz's sports and cultural landscape.
In total, the report covers 29 million euros with more than 1100 individual measures. The main focus is on funding from the Office for Youth and Family Affairs with 15.5 million euros, cultural funding with 4.5 million euros, sports funding with 3.8 million euros and specialised funding from the Social Welfare Office for Youth, Social Affairs and Health with 2.4 million euros.
