Funding report 2021 published
The City of Chemnitz's 2021 Grants Report is now public. In it, all city grants to associations, clubs and third parties are presented retrospectively, categorised by topic and grant recipient. The grants are funds from the city budget that are approved for purposes that are in the public interest.
For example, support for animal welfare organisations, micro-projects of the Capital of Culture, grants for the Kaßberg Prison Learning and Memorial Centre and the Schlingel festival as well as funding for school social work at various locations were implemented.
In total, the report covers 27.6 million euros with more than 1000 individual measures. The main focus is on funding from the Office for Youth and Family Affairs with 13.4 million euros, cultural funding with 3.9 million euros, sports funding with 3.1 million euros and specialised funding for youth, social affairs and health with 2.5 million euros.
