Funding for Ludwig Richter primary school

Invitation to the handover of the funding decision on 22 April, 8:30 a.m.

The extensive refurbishment of the Ludwig Richter primary school has been financially secured. The Free State of Saxony is supporting the project with a total of 1.2 million euros, with 1.7 million euros coming from the City of Chemnitz. Media representatives are cordially invited to the handover of the funding decision with Mayor Barbara Ludwig and the Saxon State Minister for Education and Cultural Affairs Brunhild Kurth. The press event will take place on Monday, 22 April at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium of the primary school (2nd floor), Ludwig-Richter-Straße 19, Chemnitz.

The total cost of the building project is around 2.9 million euros. The money will make it possible to carry out a general refurbishment of the school building as part of the school building construction programme. The façade is to be refurbished and the heating and electrical installations overhauled. Bright, friendly classrooms and new specialist cabinets will be created. At the same time, the building will be equipped with a lift for the disabled.
