Funding for Artist in Residence projects still possible in 2022
Art and culture funding: Applications can still be submitted until 15 November
Projects in which artist-in-residence programmes are planned will receive special funding this year. This was decided by the Culture Committee. The application amount for individual artist exchange projects is limited to a maximum of 3,000 euros. These measures can be applied for by associations and non-profit initiatives from all artistic and cultural sectors. Socio-cultural organisations can also invite an artist and introduce them to the city and culture in Chemnitz.
The City of Chemnitz's culture department has also announced that funding is still available for spontaneous projects in the current year 2022. Corresponding applications can be submitted to the Kulturbetrieb/Cultural Management, Cultural Strategy department until 15 November. For small projects with a maximum application amount of 2,000 euros, the application can be submitted online via the Amt24.de portal. Project applications for more than 2,000 euros are sent to the Kulturbetrieb using a form.
For planned projects in 2023 with an application amount of up to a maximum of 3,500 euros, applications must be received by 1 September. The Cultural Committee will decide on the allocation of funding in spring 2023 after preliminary consultation with the Cultural Advisory Board, provided that the budget for the City of Chemnitz has been approved.
