Big Charity Drive for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital stops off in Chemnitz
Representatives of Chemnitz's twin city Manchester make a stop in Chemnitz. The occasion is the Big Charity Drive, during which the drivers from Manchester are collecting donations for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. The money will be used to build a helipad.
On Monday 12 September at 6 pm, the drivers will arrive with their cars from Manchester at Neumarkt in Chemnitz and will be welcomed by Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig.
Media representatives are cordially invited to a photo opportunity.
The project managers from Manchester will also be handing over cuddly toys to the young patients on Monday, 12 September at 11 a.m. at the Clinic for Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine on Flemmingstraße. Chemnitz Hospital invites representatives of the press to attend separately.

In the Big Charity Drive, participants drive from Manchester via Brussels to Chemnitz and back over the course of four days. During the drive, the teams have to solve various tasks for which they receive points. The team with the most points wins. At the end of the tour, the cars are auctioned off and the proceeds are used to build the helipad.
