Free State donates flood relief medals
Suggestions possible at the town halls and citizen service centres
Nominations for the "Saxon Flood Helper Order 2013" can now be submitted. Minister President Stanislaw Tillich is awarding the medal in recognition of the emergency services and volunteers who selflessly and easily supported the people of Saxony during the flood disaster in June 2013.
Anyone can make suggestions for the "Saxon Flood Helper Order 2013". The prerequisite for acceptance of the nomination is that the proposed helpers were on flood relief duty for at least 24 hours.
Nominations can be entered on lists in the town halls (Town Hall, BVZ Moritzhof and Technical Town Hall) and in the citizen service centres in the districts. Citizens can also send their suggestions directly to the e-mail address fluthelferorden(at)smi.sachsen.de. To do this, they must print out a corresponding form, fill it out and send it in by e-mail, scanned and with their legible signature. The form can be downloaded from www.sachsen.de and then sent to the above address.
A proposal is only valid if it bears the signature of the person submitting it. Proposals can be submitted until the end of 2015. Queries can be directed to the standardised public authority telephone number 115.
