Fountain season 2015
It starts on 16 April with the fountain at the Red Tower
In keeping with tradition, the fountain at the Red Tower will be the first to be put into operation in the 2015 fountain season. The date is 16 April. The other municipal fountains will then gradually follow, and by Friday, 22 May, all 17 fountains should finally be bubbling - here is an overview:

The city of Chemnitz has 63,000 euros available in the municipal budget for the 2015 season to operate the 17 fountains under its responsibility.
Nine fountains are managed by the company eins energie in Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG on the basis of a service contract concluded between the City of Chemnitz and the supplier:

The operation of eight further fountains is sponsored in the form of contributions in kind:
Klapperbrunnen by the supplier eins energie (complete maintenance and energy costs)
Völkerfreundschaft fountain by AIC Hörmann GmbH & Co KG (complete maintenance)
Wedding fountain by IHK Chemnitz (complete maintenance and energy costs)
Sprudelstein Grüna by the Heimatverein Grüna (complete maintenance and energy costs)
Fountain on Seeberplatz by REAL Vermögen GmbH (complete maintenance and energy costs)
Azzano fountain at Kaufhof and Zipper fountain by the company Kavalir & Co. GmbH

EDEKA-Vertriebsgesellschaft and GGGmbH provide funding for the operation of the fountain at Sachsenhalle.
