On Friday, 27 June at 5 pm, Lord Mayor Sven Schulze and Jens Köhler, Chairman of SSV Textima Chemnitz e. V., will lay the foundation stone for the new functional building on the site at Sportlerweg 15 in the Erfenschlag district.
The event is open to the public. Representatives of the media are also invited to attend.
The plan is to construct a new two-storey club building with four changing rooms and sanitary facilities, a separate room for referees and coaches and guest toilets. Completion is scheduled for mid-2026.
The construction project will cost around €1.56 million in total. The city of Chemnitz is contributing 716,000 euros in sports funding, while the Free State of Saxony is providing funding totalling 685,000 euros. The client is SSV Textima Chemnitz e. V.
