On Monday, 30 June, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, representatives of the media are invited to the company M3-Raumbau, Sandweg 39. There, owner Fabrice Müller will introduce the young participants of the MINT-Fit-Camp of the Children and Youth Foundation of the City of Chemnitz "Johanneum" to the professional field of painting and varnishing. In an airbrush workshop, the children and young people create graphics on the topic of "Chemnitz as European Capital of Culture 2025".
The MINT-Fit-Camp of the Johanneum Children and Youth Foundation takes place from 29 June to 4 July and offers a week full of science and technology with experiments, sport and fun. The aim of the camp is to introduce children to different educational programmes and to awaken their curiosity about scientific topics. The children will be constantly supervised by staff from the Küchwald school hostel run by Kinder-, Jugend- und Familienhilfe e. V. Chemnitz.
In various workshops, the children and young people will deal with topics relating to energy, the environment and physics. They will also gain an insight into various professional fields. The Johanneum Children and Youth Foundation has been supported by many partners such as Chemnitz University of Technology for years.
This year, for the first time, the MINT-FIT camp is being funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
