Follow the traffic instructions for the 8th Chemnitz company run on 4 September
Next Wednesday, 4 September, "Die Sportmacher" GmbH is organising the 8th Chemnitz company run. The organisers are expecting around 3,500 participants and are hoping for a corresponding number of visitors.
As last year, the start and finish area will be on Brückenstraße. The start will be at 6.30 pm. Due to the ever-increasing number of participants in the company run, the following traffic restrictions will be necessary to safeguard the run:
Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße and Straße der Nationen towards the city centre from Carolastraße will be closed to private traffic from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm. Regular service traffic will be guaranteed on Brückenstraße until 4.30 pm and again from 8.30 pm. The Straße der Nationen will remain open to regular and local traffic.
To secure the route, Theaterstraße between Hartmannstraße and Brückenstraße (in the direction of Mühlenstraße), Mühlenstraße between Brückenstraße and Georgstraße, Georgstraße between Mühlenstraße and Promenadenstraße, Schlossstraße between Arndtstraße and Georgstraße and Promenadenstraße between Erich-Schmidt-Straße and Müllerstraße will be closed from 18.00 - 19.15 hrs. Local traffic will be guaranteed.
Schloßteichstraße will be converted into a one-way street (in the direction of Bergstraße) from Promenadenstraße to Bergstraße from 6.00 - 7.15 pm.
The closures on the running route will be opened immediately after the end of the run (approx. 19.15 hrs) and Brückenstraße will be closed at 22.00 hrs.
A police operation will be organised by the Chemnitz Police Headquarters to secure the event. CVAG will announce any changes to bus and train services separately.
