Flood protection measures and repair of flood damage on Annaberger Straße
From next week until probably the beginning of October, construction work will be carried out on Annaberger Straße to repair flood damage from last year and to protect against future flooding. Due to the massive damage in the track area, the track bed of Annaberger Straße will have to be completely renewed. At the same time, flood protection is being driven forward with the construction of several sewer structures. The work is accompanied by various traffic restrictions.
From Monday 28 July until probably 26 August, the crossing over the Reichsstraße/Annaberger Straße/Gustav-Freytag-Straße tracks will be fully closed. For this reason, the crossing over the Reichsstraße/Annaberger Straße/Gustav-Freytag-Straße tracks will be fully closed from 28 July 2014 to 26 August 2014.
Inner ring road traffic will be diverted in both directions via Zwickauer Straße/ Bahnhofstraße/ Zschopauer Straße.
The entire construction project will take place from 28 July to probably 2 October 2014, during which time traffic on Annaberger Straße will be diverted to the opposite side of the road between Aue and Rößlerstraße. The diversion for the closed city-bound carriageway will be via Rößlerstraße/ Altchemnitzer Straße/ Reichenhainer Straße/ Bernsbachplatz/ Ritterstraße/ Zschopauer Straße.
Pedestrian traffic must pay attention to a changed footpath route in the construction site area. Nevertheless, the footpath connection can be ensured as far as possible.
The work is being carried out on behalf of CVAG and ESC. The traffic authority of the city of Chemnitz asks all road users for their understanding and increased attention due to the changed traffic routing.
