Flood damage in western Germany - City of Chemnitz offers support
The city of Chemnitz today also offered its twin city Düsseldorf support in combating the flood damage.
The Chemnitz fire brigade has declared its willingness to help the affected communities in western Germany as well as the twin city of Düsseldorf, according to Lord Mayor Sven Schulze.
At the same time, he is calling on the people of Chemnitz to support the affected people on the ground with donations. The Free State and the welfare organisations have set up a donation account for this purpose. This is primarily intended to support people who have lost their houses and flats as a result of the floods.
