The influencer event "C the Unseen" starts late this afternoon. Together with partners, the City of Chemnitz is bringing together content creators, influencers and social media talents from Chemnitz and the region for the first time to make Chemnitz visible from new angles. The city of Chemnitz is thus sending a clear signal for the digital creative scene.
The 20 participants can expect a varied programme with exclusive locations and space for exchange and new ideas. The indoor art project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 will be at the centre of the event, with a shuttle from the meeting point at the market hall to the Cammann high-rise. There, the team led by curator René Kästner will give an exclusive insight into the artists' flats and studios and set the mood for the indoor art. Back at the Markthalle, the influencers will then experience a preview of the Hallenkunst exhibition currently under construction.
The meeting will also provide impetus from the City of Chemnitz's Business Division, the European Capital of Culture 2025 gGmbH and Chemnitz University of Technology as well as an open platform for ideas from the community. The aim is to network the creator scene more closely, highlight new perspectives and actively shape the future presentation of the city on social media. The aim is to jointly develop stories from and about Chemnitz.
"We want to hear the voices of Chemnitz's creator scene, promote their ideas and jointly set new topics that will advance our city," emphasises Silvana Bergk, Head of the City of Chemnitz's Business Department. "The event is also a signal of how important digital creativity and the active involvement of the young community are to us."
