Fire brigades remove graffiti from the Rabenstein viaduct
Next Saturday, 2 September, from 8.30 a.m. to around 12 noon, the paint smearings on the viaduct in Rabenstein that were applied a few weeks ago will be removed. The members of the Rabenstein volunteer fire brigade will be carrying out this work with the support of Fire Station III of the professional fire brigade as part of an operational exercise.
The graffiti will be mechanically removed and painted over using a turntable ladder. Due to the extent of the graffiti, the turntable ladder will have to be moved several times during the cleaning process. Oberfrohnaer Straße will be closed for a short time at the viaduct. The West police station will therefore regulate the traffic operationally, but there will not be a longer full closure.
A total of ten firefighters will be on duty on Saturday, eight of them from the Rabenstein volunteer fire brigade and two from the professional fire brigade. In addition to the ten-metre-long turntable ladder, two vehicles from the volunteer fire brigade are also in action.
Note for photographers: The contact person on site is fire councillor Steffen Süß from the professional fire brigade.
