Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky submits proposal for temporary further financing
In a video conference today, Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky submitted a proposal to the organisations responsible for child and youth welfare projects on how their projects can continue to be funded on a temporary basis. She had previously informed the members of the Youth Welfare Committee about this.
"By reallocating funds in the budget over the past few days, we have managed to ensure that all projects, the child and family centres and the integration helpers can continue to be funded until the end of April next year. Now the providers, city councillors and the city of Chemnitz must work together to find a solution in the upcoming budget talks that is sustainable in the long term," says Dagmar Ruscheinsky.
The mayor is now hoping that her proposal will find a majority at the upcoming meeting of the Youth Welfare Committee on 6 December.
