Financial support for multi-generation centre
The City of Chemnitz will continue to co-finance the multi-generation house run by solaris Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH Sachsen with €10,000 per year, subject to the availability of budget funds. This was decided by the city council at its meeting today.
The multi-generation house is supported by the funding guideline "Bundesprogramm Mehrgenerationenhaus. With each other - for each other" funding guideline for the period from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2028. Part of this funding is co-financing by the municipality.
The Chemnitz multi-generation centre has received funding from the City of Chemnitz since 2012. The last co-financing was approved by the City Council in resolution B-174/2016 for the years 2017 to 2020. A new city council resolution was therefore necessary for the 2021 to 2028 funding period.
The multi-generation centre is an integral part of the social infrastructure in Chemnitz. It offers many services for families and older Chemnitz residents and combines municipal responsibility and voluntary commitment.
