On Friday 22 September at 6 pm, Lydia Stettinius cordially invites you to a final concert in the concert hall of the Municipal Music School. In the midst of preparations for her move and studies - she is starting a degree in instrumental pedagogy for violin in Wuppertal - the highly talented musician will bid farewell to the Municipal Music School and Chemnitz with an interesting concert programme. She will perform works by Mozart, Vivaldi and Ysaÿe, among others, and will present the programme as a soloist and together with the ensemble "Unkoordinaten". You can look forward to an exciting evening of music. Admission is free.

Lydia Stettinius' musical education began at the age of five with early musical education at the municipal music school. She then took violin lessons with Caren Raßbach-Dietze and Hartmut Schill (1st concertmaster of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra) and piano lessons with Gabriele Ratzmann. She gained experience as concertmaster in the youth symphony orchestra of the Municipal Music School and played in the Saxony State Youth Orchestra and the Central Orchestra NAK Sachen/Thuringia. She has performed as a soloist in "FAME - Das Musical" with Studio W.M. and in "Viva la musica" at the Chemnitz Opera House.

Lydia Stettinius won the Carl Schroeder Competition 2016 and successfully took part in the "Jugend musiziert" competition. She has been loaned a master instrument by Nicolas Augustin Chappuy from the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony.
