Fifth Chemnitz Integration Fair
On 15 June 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at TIETZ
Due to the positive response in the past, this year's event will once again take place on
15 June 2016 from 10 am to 2 pm at TIETZ, Moritzstraße 20, 09111 Chemnitz, the fifth Chemnitz Integration Fair will take place.
The fair will be opened at 9.45 a.m. by the Mayor for Social Affairs in the City of Chemnitz, Philipp Rochold, the Head of the Equality and Integration Division at the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, Sebastian Vogel, and the Saxon Commissioner for Foreigners, Geert Mackenroth. Gunnar Bertram, President of the Chemnitz Regional Chamber of Industry and Commerce and patron of the integration fair, will then lead representatives from politics and business on a tour of the fair.
Representatives of the media are also invited to attend.
The aim of the fair is to support migrants in Chemnitz in their integration into society. In addition to the open presentation of offers, there will also be individual counselling opportunities and specialist lectures on the topic. Interested visitors to the fair can find out, for example, about the recognition of their qualifications obtained abroad. Translators will be available in common languages to facilitate communication on site.
The fair addresses various providers from the fields of business, administration, language promotion and civil society and offers a broad-based platform for those involved in the integration society in our city. The organisers are expecting around 50 exhibitors.
The fair is being organised by solaris Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH Sachsen and the Migration, Integration and Housing Department of the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office with the support of many partners. In addition to the organisers, the following are significantly involved in the preparation and implementation:
IHK Chemnitz, the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts, the Chemnitz Employment Agency, the Chemnitz Job Centre, the City of Chemnitz Migration Officer, AWO JMD Chemnitz, Netzwerk Lebensperspektiven e. V.
