Fête de la Musique in Chemnitz for the first time

This Sunday, bands from various genres will rock the Fête de la Musique in Chemnitz city centre for the first time. The Chemnitz Municipal Music School will also be showcasing its skills on several stage areas with musicians of all kinds, from jazz bands to rock bands and singer-songwriters. There will also be a DJ area where Chemnitz DJs will provide you with good record music. The musical programme will be rounded off by street music venues where street musicians will have the opportunity to perform their songs

The Fête de la Musique will be opened at 4.00 pm on the stage at Neumarkt by the children's choir of the municipal music school. From 4.30 pm, the string band "Rock'n'Strings" can be heard, followed by the big band (5.15 pm) and the jazz combo (6 pm).

From 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm, "Jugend musiziert" prizewinners can be heard on the stage in the Stadthallenpark. The trio "Strike" (6.30 pm) with exceptional violinist and singer Charlotte Kuhn and drummer Jakob Kuhn, accompanied by pianist Henrik Lehmann. The duo "Malu&Henrik" with two-time national prizewinner in the pop singing category Marie-Luise Weber and Henrik Lehmann on electric piano can be heard from 7.30 pm.

From 8.30 pm, the rock band "Crossing Strings" from the Municipal Music School will rock the band stage at the Roter Turm with two-part vocals by front singers Michelle Haink and Charlotte Kuhn.
