Festive music of the Baroque era
Event to mark the town's 875th anniversary

Next Thursday, 24 May at 6 pm, festive music from the Baroque period will be performed in the Ev.-Luth. Stadt- und Marktkirche St. Jakobi, Innere Klosterstraße. Admission is free.
The programme includes pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, Henry Purcell and Arcangelo Corelli. The musicians are: Ekkehard Hering - oboe, Hartmut Schill - violin, Sophie Keiter - violin, Tilman Trüdinger - violoncello, Steffen Walther - organ
Chemnitz is celebrating its 875th anniversary this year. A joint project by the Chemnitz History Society, the Chemnitz Saxon Industrial Museum, the Schloßberg Museum, the Chemnitz State Museum of Archaeology and the Chemnitz City Archive entitled "875 years of history in twelve months" is honouring the city's history.
