Felling work "Am Zwönitzufer"
Due to the prolonged drought of the last three years, an increased number of trees are dying on the wooded steep slope opposite the road "Am Zwönitzufer" in Erfenschlag. Spruces and old beeches are particularly affected. This winter, the Environment Agency is having several dead and dying trees removed from the area in order to restore road safety for the residents of "Am Zwönitzufer".
In this context, we would like to point out that entering the forests is at your own risk (Section 11 (2) of the Saxon Forest Act). Walkers should pay particular attention to natural hazards such as breaking branches or falling trees, especially in the wet and stormy autumn season. For safety reasons, you should refrain from visiting the forest in stormy or gusty conditions.
