Fee waiver for outdoor catering and public events
The retroactive reimbursement of fees for non-commercial events and outdoor catering, which the city council decided on in April and May, is not associated with additional processing fees for those affected.
Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig has decided that the commitment made by the mayors at the most recent city council meeting will be implemented accordingly.
At its meeting in April, the city council decided to make city centre areas available free of charge for outdoor catering and public events to revitalise the city centre. This means that the fees for special use will be waived in the period from 1 January to 31 October 2019.
At its May meeting, the city council also decided to extend the fee waiver to the entire city centre. In the related debate, it was discussed that administrative fees would also be waived and fees already paid would be refunded.
