Federal Railway Authority invites participation in noise action planning
From Monday, 13 March to Monday, 24 April, Chemnitz citizens can also take part in the Federal Railway Authority's noise action planning. The City of Chemnitz's Environmental Agency would like to point this out.
The participation is primarily aimed at citizens who feel disturbed by rail noise from federal railway lines. On the participation platform www.laermaktionsplanung-schiene.de, participants can use an interactive map application to indicate a location where the disruptive rail noise occurs.
The Federal Railway Authority's noise action plan provides for two participation phases:
In the first participation phase, both metropolitan areas and smaller municipalities as well as citizens are given the opportunity to present their noise situation along federal railway lines in detail.
Following the evaluation of the first participation phase, the Federal Railway Authority will publish its draft noise action plan towards the end of 2023.
In the subsequent second participation phase, citizens can evaluate the draft noise action plan and provide feedback on the process.
