Federal Environment Minister Carsten Schneider visits Chemnitz

Tour of the workshops at the solaris support centre for youth and the environment, Neefestraße 88b

On Monday, 13 October, Federal Minister for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety Carsten Schneider will visit the city of Chemnitz at the invitation of Lord Mayor Sven Schulze. Carsten Schneider will be accompanied by Minister of State Dirk Panter from the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection.

A joint tour of the workshops of the solaris Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH Sachsen, Neefestraße 88b, will take place at 2 pm.

During the tour, Federal Minister Carsten Schneider, Minister of State Dirk Panter and Lord Mayor Sven Schulze will discuss the topics of artificial intelligence, environmental and climate protection with children and young people using the Climate AI Box, an AKN measure (Natural Climate Protection Action Programme). This will be followed by a round table discussion on environmental education and youth policy in Chemnitz with colleagues from the solaris support centre.

Afterwards, Federal Minister Carsten Schneider and Minister of State Dirk Panter will visit Bernstein Mechanische Fertigung GmbH in Grüna in the presence of the Mayor of Chemnitz, Knut Kunze.
