Farewell for personal reasons
CWE Managing Director Sören Uhle ends his position at the end of the year
The Managing Director of Chemnitz Economic Promotion and Development Corporation (CWE), Sören Uhle, will step down from his position at the end of the year for personal reasons. Lord Mayor Sven Schulze accepted a request to this effect today and informed the company's Supervisory Board accordingly.
A decision on who will succeed Sören Uhle will be made in the coming months. A corresponding appointment procedure will be initiated immediately.
Sören Uhle: "After eight intensive years, I feel that I can no longer fulfil my own requirements and those of the city. I therefore feel it is time to make way for a successor."
Lord Mayor Sven Schulze: "I would like to thank Sören Uhle for his successful collaboration over the past few years. Above all, his contribution to the successful bid to become European Capital of Culture 2025 and the establishment of 'Kosmos' as a Germany-wide festival and discussion forum in Chemnitz bear his signature and leave lasting impressions. His work for the skilled labour portal 'Chemnitz attracts' is also very important for our city. I wish him all the best for his personal and professional future."
