Family afternoon at the Museum of Natural History

Mixed in with the colony: Life in the bee colony - on 23 June, 2 to 4 pm

Picture: Stadt Chemnitz, Museum für Naturkunde

With beekeeper Heike Janthur, everything revolves around bees and honey at the family afternoon on Saturday, 23 June, from 2 to 4 pm at the Museum of Natural History.
Admission is 4 euros, concessions 2.50 euros. Children and young people up to the age of 18 are admitted free of charge. The cost of materials for candle making is 2 euros.

How many bees does a colony harbour? How many flowers does a bee pollinate per day? How many flowers does it take to make a jar of honey? How do bees communicate with each other? And what is the story behind "bee mortality"? So many questions! Beekeeper Heike Janthur will answer them all. And if you like, you can make your own wax candle and take it home with you as a souvenir of this bee afternoon.
