False reports on the internet - a self-experiment fact check
On Thursday, 19 September, 5 to 8 p.m., the Adult Education Centre and SAEK Chemnitz invite interested parties to a course on dealing with false reports on the Internet - in the TIETZ, VHS course room 4.61. Admission costs 6 euros.
Due to the limited number of participants, please register by 13 September.
Do you trust all the news and reports from the media and Internet? In this workshop you can learn how to check credibility and how false reports are created.
Part one of the course will provide theoretical input on the possibilities for checking the credibility of news and media content, examples of false reports and ways of checking sources.
In the second part, participants will try out practical methods and tools for fact-checking on the PC themselves, for example by starting a reverse image search and checking information in the masthead.
