Extension of the Neefestraße construction period
Full closure of Stelzendorfer Straße only afterwards
Work on the formwork and reinforcement of the bridge body will take place between 10 and 11 September 2015, followed by the concreting of the caps and wings on 12 September 2015.
The following work is planned for the coming week: The backfill areas will be constructed, followed by the installation of the carriageway transition structure. This will be followed by kerbing and paving work. In the next stage of work, first the mastic asphalt and then the road asphalt work will be carried out.
The crash barriers will then be installed in the final stage before the road is opened to traffic.
The overall tight schedule with optimised curing and drying times as well as a two-layer system implemented within the scope of the construction technology possibilities could not be fully adhered to due to additional work.
Cracks were discovered in the construction that were not visible in advance. This damage to the wing and abutment wall of the structure resulted in extensive concrete demolition work as well as extensive work to professionally repair the joints.
Construction of the measure, which cost a total of almost 349,000 euros, will now be completed on 20 September 2015.
In this context, the Stelzendorfer Straße construction project will be specified. (Start 7 September/PM 472). Construction work will first be carried out in the Carl-Hertel-Straße area. A full closure of Stelzendorfer Straße is planned from 28 September 2015, after completion of the construction work in Neefestraße.
