Experts advise on the topic of dementia

The members of the DementiaNet_C network offer weekly expert, neutral and free counselling sessions. The aim is to inform those affected and relatives about support services and to provide help from a single source in order to ensure good care and, in particular, to identify ways to relieve the burden on carers.

The counselling sessions take place in small multi-professional teams. This ensures a highly individualised practical approach. The experts from the fields of senior citizens' work, care, care insurance and health services are available for personal consultations on Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office, Moritzhof Citizens' and Administration Centre, Bahnhofstraße 53.

Please make an appointment in advance on 0371 488 5555.

In Germany, more than one million people suffer from memory loss that goes beyond the age-related decline in mental abilities. Because people are getting older and older, the incidence of dementia is on the rise.
Alzheimer's can be a form of dementia. The spectrum of this disease is very diverse. The support options for people suffering from dementia and their relatives are just as wide-ranging.
