Expanded offering in the customer portal for social services
The service for applying for social benefits in the customer portal of Chemnitz City Council has been expanded. The customer portal is the central point of contact on the ground floor of the Moritzhof Citizens' and Administration Centre in Bahnhofstraße. It makes it easier for customers of the social welfare office to apply for financial social benefits.
As of today, the following benefits can be applied for in the customer portal:
- Severe disability/blindness benefit
- BAföG
- Chemnitzpass/radio licence fee
- Parental allowance
- Housing benefit
- Education and participation package
- Social assistance according to SGB XII
- Debt counselling
- Advance on maintenance payments
- Allocation of daycare places
- Parental contribution reduction daycare centre
