Next Monday (19.11.2012) the exhibition "Hass vernichtet" will be opened at 17:00 in the OFFENE GALERIE Kraftwerk e.V. - Socio-Cultural Centre - Kaßbergstraße 36, 09112 Chemnitz. The Round Table for Democratic Engagement and the Evangelical Lutheran Dietrich Bonhoeffer Church in Chemnitz are organising the exhibition "Hass vernichtet" (Hate destroyed) by human rights activist Irmela Mensah-Schramm as part of the LAP project "Schau dahinter - rechtsextremistische, rassistische und antisemitische Bildsprache" (Look behind it - right-wing extremist, racist and anti-Semitic imagery ).

She has set herself the task of sensitising the general public to the issues of right-wing extremism and anti-Semitism. In this context, she has designed an exhibition in which right-wing extremist and anti-Semitic stickers, posters and graffiti are shown as they can be found every day in public spaces - on electricity boxes, traffic lights, house walls, etc. - etc. But it also shows how you can creatively defend yourself against them.

The exhibition will be on display in Chemnitz from 19 November to 30 November 2012 . Opening hours: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. (weekdays), on-site discussion opportunities: 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. The exhibition will be shown in the premises of Kraftwerk e.V. (Kaßbergstraße 36, 09112 Chemnitz). The vernissage of the exhibition will take place on 19 November at 5 pm in the open gallery of Kraftwerk e.V.
