Exhibition on the expert opinion procedure for the urban development of the city centre
In December 2014, the expert opinion process for the further development of the city centre around Bahnhofstrasse and Brückenstrasse was launched. As part of this process, the city of Chemnitz commissioned four planning teams consisting of urban planners, architects, landscape architects and traffic planners to develop ideas for the further urban development of the city centre.
This process was concluded with the 2nd planning workshop on 3 June 2015. The first prize was unanimously awarded to the consortium led by lohrer.hochrein landschaftsarchitekten und stadtplaner gmbh from Munich/Magdeburg.
The City of Chemnitz is presenting all four designs and the results of the expert assessment process in an exhibition, which will be opened by Mayor Barbara Ludwig. The winner of the 1st prize, Axel Lohrer, will be present to explain his design. The chairman of the jury, Prof Heinz Nagler, will also be present.
All interested parties are hereby invited to the exhibition opening:

The exhibition is open from 6 August 2015 to 4 September 2015, Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 6 pm.
