Excursion to the Harthwald floodplain

This year's last excursion as part of the monthly events organised by the voluntary nature conservation service will take place tomorrow, Tuesday (25 September), in Markersdorf and here in the Harthwaldaue area and, according to information from the organising environmental agency, will focus on the habitats and biotope diversity there. The excursion, led by Holger Tippmann, will focus on nature in and on the edge of the new development area.
The meeting point for nature lovers tomorrow is 5 pm at the AWO nature centre Am Harthwald.

The excursion route is approximately two kilometres long and ends at the starting point after about two hours. Afterwards, there will most likely be an opportunity to observe bats flying out of a roost. All nature conservation helpers and interested citizens are cordially invited - participation is free of charge.

Information for participants: Although there are some public car parks available at the meeting point, we recommend travelling by public transport (bus 22 via Zentralhaltestelle to the Am Harthwald stop) or by bike through the city park or, of course, carpooling.
Please make sure you wear sturdy shoes.
