Excursion to see bats - around the castle pond
The first excursion of the voluntary nature conservation service this season is scheduled for Tuesday, 27 May at 8.30 pm - the meeting point is at the "Milchhäuschen" café on Schloßteichstraße. The "Bat excursion around the castle pond" will be led by Holger Tippmann from the city's environmental department and Marko Eigner, environmental educator and volunteer nature conservation assistant. The excursion will include the opportunity to listen to bats with a detector and observe them in flight. Participation is free of charge.
The exhibition "Bats - way of life, endangerment and protection" will open on Tuesday morning at 10 a. m. in the courtyard of the Moritzhof community and administration centre at Bahnhofstraße 53. It is being organised by the Saxon State Foundation for Nature and the Environment. The exhibition will be on display here for eight weeks and can be viewed during the opening hours of the courtyard.
