On Monday, 15 June, 10 am*, Mayor Sven Schulze will welcome pupils from the Johann-Wolfgang-von-Goethe-Gymnasium and exchange pupils from their US partner school, Fargo North High School in Fargo, North Dakota, to the City Council Chamber at the Town Hall, Markt 1.

The seven pupils from Fargo in the US state of North Dakota are visiting Chemnitz from 7 June to 26 June as part of the GAPP exchange programme.
During their visit to the Town Hall, they and 14 pupils from the Johann-Wolfgang-von-Goethe-Gymnasium, accompanied by four teachers, will also be given a guided tour of the building and visit the High Tower.
The American guests will also take part in the German-American meeting day “Meet the USA!” on 12 June. At 1.30 pm, a football match will take place at the Junior Stadium of the Sportforum Chemnitz to mark the World Cup. Pupils from the Goethe Gymnasium will play alongside young people from the USA.
