Exchange at the CFC fan club meeting on the question: Which club do we want to be?
Joint press release by the City of Chemnitz and Chemnitzer FC
The Mayor of Chemnitz, Barbara Ludwig, and CFC Managing Director and Sports Director Thomas Sobotzik met with the fan clubs of Chemnitzer FC on Thursday evening for a joint discussion. More than 100 CFC fans discussed the question "Which club do we want to be in the future?".
"The open dialogue was important and necessary," said Barbara Ludwig. Over the course of the evening, the topics discussed included trust between the CFC management and fans, more transparency and participation, but also the question of whether the fundamental values of sport and the German constitution should also be the standard in the stadium.
"A trusting relationship with many players in order to achieve the best for the club, for the CFC, must be the common goal. The event can therefore only have been a prelude."
In order to continue along this path, a general meeting of the fan clubs like the one on Thursday evening is to be organised twice a year in future. The next meeting of the fan clubs with the CFC management and the city will therefore take place this year. In addition, the new CFC fan representative, Ralf Bernsdorf, will relaunch the fan interest group and offer regular consultation hours in future. Further topics and problems specifically named by the fans will be examined by the CFC management and the fan representatives will be informed.
