Everything is rolling! - We own the road

Join in the action on 20 September, 2 to 6 p.m., Brückenstraße - Call for photos: Show us your Mobi week

On Friday, 20 September, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., the participatory campaign "Alles rollt! - We own the road" - a highlight of this year's European Mobility Week - will take place on Brückenstraße and at the Karl Marx Monument. On this day, the area will become a "street space of mindfulness". The event aims to show what is possible with environmentally friendly and shared use of street space.

For the event, one side of Brückenstraße will be closed to traffic from 11 am to 8.30 pm from Straße der Nationen to the "Rondell" car park (exit is possible) in the direction of Theaterstraße/ Mühlenstraße.
The bypass is possible via Straße der Nationen - Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße - Theaterstraße.

Call for photos for the "Show us your Mobility Week" photo competition

For the European Mobility Week (EMW), which offers many colourful events from 16 to 22 September, all participants are invited to take part in the photo competition "Show us your Mobi Week". Whether at the station concert, the bike tour, the panel discussion or the hands-on "Alles rollt!" campaign - any photo from an EMW event can be submitted.

The photo and the completed entry form can be sent by 24 September either by email to: eu-stelle(at)stadt-chemnitz.de or by post to City of Chemnitz, EU Office, Markt 1, 09111 Chemnitz
(The entry form is available for download at www.chemnitz.de/emw ).

You can win a baby cuddly Edgar, collective bags from the Buntmacher*innen made from old EMW banners, T-shirts and bags with the EMW motifs and much more. The winners will be notified by email.

Chemnitz has been taking part in the campaign initiated by the European Commission every year since 2003 under a different motto. This year's motto, "Shared Public Space - Using Street Spaces Together", is intended to give municipalities and companies throughout Europe the opportunity to familiarise citizens with sustainable mobility on the ground.
