Musicollage - Wind instruments

The "Musicollage" is a series of student concerts. Each concert is different and interesting. In this audition, the wind instruments department presents a colourful musical mix of the wide variety of woodwind instruments such as recorder, oboe, flute, clarinet, bassoon and brass instruments such as saxophone, horn, trombone, trumpet etc.

DA CAPO - Music café at the Kraftwerk
Venue: Kraftwerk e.V., Kaßbergstr. 36, 09112 Chemnitz

DA CAPO - this month's theme of the music café popular with senior citizens is "Spring awakening with music". The five ladies of the Da Capo group from the municipal music school will present a varied programme of waltzes, marches, folk songs and classical pieces. They will play violins, cello and piano under the direction of Roswitha Oelsner.

Musicollage - Mix

The "Musicollage" is a series of student concerts. Each concert is different and interesting.
In this "Musicollage Mix", various departments of the Municipal Music School present themselves, especially piano students, as well as voice and piano and, as a small highlight, a speech performance from the speech training department. The result will be a colourful concert programme.
Final concert workshop on baroque musicSaturday, 12 May, 4 pm

As part of this year's Mozart Festival, a workshop on baroque music will be held for pupils from the 3rd year onwards.
More than 20 children and young people have prepared for this day on their instruments - violin, violoncello, double bass, piano, recorder, oboe and bassoon - to rehearse pieces by Vivaldi, Telemann, Schickhardt and others under expert guidance. A short piece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which he wrote at the age of 8, will also be performed. A small group of singers will also work on a programme.
At the end of the day, the works will be performed in the final concert at 4pm.
This concert will also feature the teachers Adéla Drechsel (violin and viola), Diethard Krause (cello), Fumiko Takano (harpsichord), Stephanie Kaiser (baroque singing) and Sabine Petri (recorder).

Musicollage - Mix

Admission: free
This year's "Musicollage Mix" is all about voice and piano. Songs by George Frideric Handel and Giacomo Puccini, duets from the musical "Mary Poppins" and film music - played on the piano - will be performed. To make the mix even more colourful, the bassoon and flute will join in.

TIETZ sounds! Recorder
Venue: TIETZ, stage in the foyer, Moritzstr. 20, 09111 Chemnitz
Admission: free
In this monthly series, many different recorders, from the sopranino flute to the bass flute, can be heard in the foyer of the TIETZ in May.
The ensemble "blockflott" will present itself with lively pieces. Some young and old pupils will play from their examination programmes and show off their skills. As a special highlight, Julia Seifert will play the 3rd movement from a recorder concerto by Antonio Vivaldi.
Note
National competition "Jugend musiziert" in Lübeck - from 17 May to 24 May
The national competition is the third and highest level of the "Jugend musiziert" competition.
Only those who have achieved a first prize and at least 23 out of a possible 25 points at the state competition are allowed to take part in the national competition.
The Chemnitz Municipal Music School will be represented by the duo Karolin Scheunert (vocals) and Nanette Gruber (piano), as well as guitarist Kevin Rau.
