Toni Leuschner, music teacher at the municipal music school, will go on a journey of discovery with the accordion. He will introduce himself and his instrument.

5th Chemnitz Lions New Year's Concert
Young artists and ensembles from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School and the Music School at Thomas-Mann-Platz will perform classical works as well as modern vocal and instrumental pieces. The concert is a charity event in favour of the promotion of young musical talent, under the patronage of Ferenc Csák, Head of the City of Chemnitz Cultural Department.

Choir project "Chemnitz sings!" - opening event for the city anniversary
"875 years of Chemnitz"
Take over 1000 people and immerse them in the world of music:
Chemnitz Theatre and C³ Chemnitzer Veranstaltungszentren invite you to a major choral event, which will also be the opening event of the city's anniversary "875 years of Chemnitz". Accompanied by the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Felix Bender, a programme ranging from classical choral literature to modern entertainment songs will be performed. The programme will be performed by Chemnitz choirs of all ages, from children's, school and youth choirs to cantoriums, senior choirs, the Singakademie, the university choir and the opera choir, as well as other choirs from all over Saxony. Choirs from the twin cities will also follow the call to Chemnitz.
But that's not all: when Chemnitz sings, the audience is also invited to sing along.
