Music café "Musical in Studio WM" in the "DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" series
Venue: Kraftwerk e.V., Kaßbergstraße 36
Admission: 7 euros, including coffee and cake
Nancy Gibson chats with Wieland Müller and students from Studio WM. Children, young people and adults receive lessons in singing, dance, theatre and interpretation at this institution. Over the years, many performances, events and projects have been realised with students from "Studio WM". Major in-house productions in collaboration with the Chemnitz City Hall include "Fame", "Im weißen Rössl", "Annie" and "Sister Act". There are also concerts, guest performances and touring programmes. Through their work at Studio WM, numerous students have found their way into an artistic career, e.g. Christian Alexander Müller or Tom Bitterlich.

Station concert
Venue: Main station, entrance hall
Participation: free of charge
Many young and old singers will join in a colourful round of songs and, together with clarinets, oboes and trumpets, will put a smile on the faces of travellers in a colourful summer programme.
Saturday, 28 September, all day
28. Werner Richter Competition
Venue: Concert hall - Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstraße 1
Participation: free of charge
There will be accordion and bandoneon solo, duo and chamber music performances. The day will be crowned by an award ceremony with a final concert.
The final concert will be organised by the accordion duo con:trust.
Werner Richter was one of the founding teachers of the Chemnitz music school in 1950 and was head of the accordion department for decades until his retirement.
The competition serves to encourage interested children, young people and adults in their musical development. It is intended to open up opportunities to prepare for other competitions, gain audition experience and exchange ideas with like-minded people. The competition is open to the public, so come along and enjoy the musical performances.
