Day of the instruments
Venue: Music school
Participation: free of charge
Children, young people and adults interested in music are cordially invited to try out various instruments in the rooms of the Municipal Music School.
On this day, there will also be "street music" in the corridors and public rehearsals. A guitar maker will give an insight into her work. Our student café will be open for refreshments and administrative staff will be happy to answer any questions about enrolment at the music school.

Musicollage - Singing
Venue: Concert hall - Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstr. 1
Participation: free of charge
In this concert, singers present a colourful bouquet of melodies. Folk songs, classical music and modern songs will be performed alone or in pairs.

Musicollage - wind instruments
Venue: Concert hall - Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstr. 1
Participation: free of charge
The wind instruments department presents itself in this concert and lets the wide variety of wind instruments such as trumpet, trombone, recorder, clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon and horn be heard in a colourful musical mix.

Motus concert

Participation: free of charge
The members of the Motus group have been meeting at the Municipal Music School for many years. For MOTUS, the name says it all: movement in the head, heart and hands. They are people with and without disabilities who play together with great joy and commitment according to the possibilities of each individual. The band consists of singers, guitarists, bassists, drummers and others and performs songs by Peter Maffay and the hit "Wochenend und Sonnenschein".

Piano workshop

Participation: free of charge
Young piano students present their skills in a short concert. Fiery sounds and melancholy melodies on black and white keys enchant the audience's ears.
