Ahoy! - The lady bug Antonia takes you on a journey in her bathtub. She experiences all kinds of adventures. She meets colourful fish in the sea aquarium, guitar pirates, dancing swans, squeaking ducks and bubbling water trumpets. She sings the anthem of the sea with Poseidon's deep-sea orchestra.

In this concert, pupils from the Early Music department will perform both as soloists and in small groups. Visitors will hear music from the eras before 1800, played on various instruments by small and large students of the music school.

Kirjat Bialik - lecture with music on the participation of Chemnitz Jews in the founding of the Israeli city

The town twinning between Chemnitz and Kiryat Bialik was sealed on 26 October 2022. Kiryat Bialik is located north-east of the city of Haifa in Israel and borders the Tel Afek nature reserve to the north-east, where remains from the Crusader era can still be found.
Today's city was founded in 1934 by German immigrants. The Mannheim and Hörnig families from Chemnitz were among the first residents to build the new town after being forced to leave their homeland as Jews.
In this lecture-concert, visitors will hear details about these families and their lives in Chemnitz and Israel from the well-known Chemnitz historian Jürgen Nitsche. The lecture will be accompanied by an ensemble from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School under the direction of Caren Raßbach-Dietze.
