Events organised by the Municipal Music School in May

Thursday, 8 May, 3 pm
Music café "Looking forward to the 34th Mozartfest 2025"

Admission: 7 euros (including coffee and cake)

"DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" invites you to another edition of the music café.
Nancy Gibson will be chatting with Sebastian Schilling. He will talk to her about the 34th Saxon Mozart Festival. Special events during this time will be highlighted and listeners will be able to learn lots of interesting facts about the Mozart Festival.
The DA CAPO group under the direction of Matthias Gagelmann and Cornelius Glanz, a music student at the Municipal Music School who took part in the Schumann Competition in Zwickau, will provide the musical framework for the event.

Opening of the Chemnitz Museum Night at the TIETZ
Location: TIETZ, forecourt, Moritzstraße 20
Admission: free of charge

This year's Museum Night will be opened on the forecourt in front of the TIETZ. This will be followed by festive and cheerful music from various floors of the TIETZ atrium under the motto "United". Ensembles from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School traditionally invite you to this concert and bring a smile to the faces of the audience with their programme.

Admission: 5 euros, reduced 2.50 euros

Antonia sees a magical grand piano in the concert hall and finds a mysterious spell. Thus begins her fantastic journey through space and time. The lady bug discovers the world and learns about the music of many different countries.
