Concert with a beetle - for families with babies and toddlers
Antonia, the mascot of the early music education department, flies to Africa. There she meets various animals such as monkeys, elephants and lions. What adventures will she have? Children's ballet, vocalists, pupils and teachers from our music school will join the audience on a musical journey through the savannah, the desert and the jungle

In this concert, the plucked instruments department presents itself with talented music students. In addition to the guitars that probably come to mind first, the mandolin and harp are also plucked instruments. Soloists and small chamber music groups play old and new music in a colourful mix.

Viva la musica!

Over the years, this concert project has become a wonderful tradition, bringing together the musicians of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra with ensembles from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. The "old hands" pass on their knowledge to the young musicians and together they all look forward to the big performance in the opera house. This year, the overture to the opera "Der Schauspieldirektor" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and excerpts from the opera "Hänsel und Gretel" by Engelbert Humperdinck will take centre stage.

Kaleidoscope concert

Admission: 10 euros, reduced 5 euros
This matinee concert under the motto "Sturm und Drang in Western Europe" is presented by teachers from the Municipal Music School in collaboration with the Chemnitz Music Society.
In this varied concert, more than 20 teachers will perform in various chamber music ensembles and showcase their skills.
